A church hired me to design their new construction church in southern Michigan. The congregation wanted the aesthetic to have clean-lines, be a little industrial, but still warm, inviting, and not to masculine or feminine, and to reflect nature. The furniture selection kept the clean-lines, while curves were added to the carpet and "clouds" to soften the plan and create an intimate space. The nursery we used "rock pillows" to bring the outdoors inside in a playful way that mimicked our colors in the 3rd space. It was Christmas time so I also was hired to stage touches of contemporary Christmas throughout. Each office reflected the staff members personality that resides in each space. Enjoyed this project!
